# How dudbox works

dudbox runs your apps for you. Pick a one-click app or a repo from GitHub. dudbox builds it, starts it, gives it an https address, and keeps it running. You do not manage servers.

1. **Log in** with your GitHub account.
2. **Add an app.** In the dashboard, click **New**. Pick a [one-click app](/docs/apps.md) (it is set up for you, admin login included) or [a GitHub repo](/docs/github.md) (dudbox builds it, and every push deploys it again). Need a database? Add [Postgres, MySQL or Redis](/docs/databases.md) the same way.
3. **Open it.** It gets its own address, like `yourapp-o3k9x2a.dudbox.app`, with HTTPS.

## What you get

- **An address with HTTPS** for each app. You can add more names on `dudbox.app`. See [Domains and settings](/docs/settings.md).
- **Deploys with no downtime.** A new version goes live only when it answers. If it fails, the version before it keeps running. See [Deployments](/docs/deployments.md).
- **Backups.** Your app's saved files are backed up every night, encrypted.
- **Logs** of everything your app writes, kept 3 days. See [Logs](/docs/logs.md).
- **An API** for scripts and agents: everything in the dashboard also works over HTTP. See [the API](/docs/api/index.md).

## Pricing
